Residency Process

The reason why government creates so much paper work is because it's their way of finding the most finite technicality in a mess of repetitive questions. It was due to one of these technicalities that Nick is unable to sponsor my application for permanent residency in Canada.

Our application was rejected on the grounds that nick and i were legal partners when we came to Canada and we didn't state this when coming here nearly two years ago.

So our application was REJECTED.

It's been forwarded to London, England. And will be reviewed without sponsorship. As it stands, we return to a wait and see approach and hope that good things happen to good people (despite recent evidence to the contrary) and that it will all work out in the end. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

And the reason for fighting for so long and so hard to stay here... well, check out the photos and you'll understand.

I took this photo one week before the snow melted.
