Still Waiting

It seems the closer I get to hearing about my visa, the longer it seems to be taking. The only thing i can compare it to is when you need to use the toilet and you've held the flow of urine for the entire day, but just as you get to the door of the bathroom the urge to pee is virtually overwhelming. Despite the fact that you've just waited the whole days and survived a number of hours it's those precious seconds it takes to undo the belt or open the buttons that prove to be the most challenging of all.

Thats what it's like with the visa; these past months have been easy to deal with, but I'm finding the hasty seconds required to undo those metaphorical buttons are really testing the nerves.

Perhaps, it's because the process is well and truly out of my hands now, and judgment is all I can wait for. Who knows. One thing is for sure, like every time someone holds their pee in, no matter how long they do it for, releasing the flow from your bladder is inevitable. So too, judgment will come, i just need to hold on a little more ,cross my legs and avoid the urge to glance at the bathroom door, and just let it all go.

So enough about the visa.... it seems I'm getting used to hitting the front page these day. My photography is coming on quite well, as always, the best way to learn is to do. You can check out my latest work on the following link www.lowdownonline.com But it's updated weekly so you'd wanna check it out by Tuesday 2nd Oct.

Oh, while you cant see these photos online, I covered my first road crash last weekend. I felt really odd afterwards. This side of the job is hard, taking pictures of people experiencing what could well be the worst day of their lives. Thankfully, the people in the accident I covered survived with minor injuries. Still, i was a little overwhelmed afterwards, and emotionally the assignment was quite challenging. But, these things come with the job, and i had a minor sense of achievement that came with the guilt. At first i thought " I'm not cut out for this shit", but... even though i didn't like getting those photos, i still did it.

So there ya have it... trial and challenge.

Talk to y'all later
