Alas, the holiday period has passed and the inevitable return to normality has arrived. Now i am back in Canada, sobriety has firmly rooted itself into my daily routine, not that i'm complaining. Now, during my prolonged absence from my homeland, i have often tried to defend the Emerald Isle by proclaiming that it is not the land of drunken stereotypes. Happily for me, my return home proved me wrong... god those people drink. And being that my nationality is Irish, after all, i think i was the one doing the majority of drinking. It almost became a competition... each late night competing against the previous night.

The winner of this illustrious battle was a close call, but on judges decision, it had to be the final night that saw us through to 8:30am. Runners up were 6:45 7:15 and 8:00 am. Coming in last had to be the pitiful excuse for a late night: 3:30, 4:50 and 5:20. A round of applause for all of the contenders please.
