The joys of Paddy's day
Alas, its been a long weekend and one must state that paddy's day celebrations tend to leave the body lacking energy. However, I wouldn't have it any other way. While it was a working holiday, for me anyway, being a barmaid did allow for it to be just that ... as I thoroughly enjoyed working (excluding the odd fecker who's set to disrupt every good night).
I sprayed my hair green and had a fantastic night around my intoxicated companions, inspite of my sobriety. Being a barmaid is a great way to have fun whilst getting payed... how fantastic is that.
I think the best thing about St Patricks day would have to be the fact that it lasts, not one day, but usually three or four. So on the last night of this weekend binge, we (staff and customers) had a lock-in in our bar and hid from the world till the dawn broke the night- over indulging in the green cocktail known as fat frogs... all free of charge. (just hook it to my vains). And who could forget the Irish tradition known as 'the circle of talent' - guaranteed embarrassment for all involved. (my self included- I think I crowed some ballad or other but memory is still hazy.)
so to summarize... I confess to being being completely intoxicated this weekend, which ,to the rest of the world, means that im an alcoholic but to those from the Emerald Isle, it just means that im a social drinker who likes to have a few.
ahh culture, it's a fantastic thing.
well that's it for my first post, still not certain about the longevity of such a craze, but fingers crossed.

Spoonerinio? Shouldn't you wait for the soccer season to start before claiming that title?
Anyway, cool to see your blog taking shape. I'm surprised you weren't actually too hung over to write anything, let alone stare at a screen for more than 2 seconds!
Happy drunken snoring!

Spoonerinio is more than a football (soccer, whatever) name.
Rather it's an essence of being that can only truly be understood by the one who created the name and the person it decribes.
Isn't that right Schmanto (aka tamika)

Welcome, sister, to the fabulous (and soul-enlightening) world of blogs. We welcome you in our little siblinghood, where you will find new and improved ways to maximize (you guys use the Z for maximize, right ?) your potential. We as a community are pleased that you have finally found your way to spiritual lifting. So welcome. Pamphlets are here on the right, the traditional garments of novices are provided. You will be sleeping in the dormitory with your newfound family. Wake up calls are at seven, prayers at seven oh five, then a light breakfast of bread and water from 9 to 9 fifteen. You will get used to our ways, or be thrown to the Pit. After 8 or nine hours of meditation, you will be provided with a light collation, then it is prayer again, and then beddy-bye. Armed guards patrol the halls at night, for your safety and comfort. Enjoy, sister, and welcome.

Don't worry, usually, you can sleep during meditation. Well that means you won't sleep at night, then, and since you can't go out, you know, guards patrol at night, but it's for our safety and comfort...
Still, it's fun, even if at some point it's gonna be crowded around here (well, actually, we're already sharing three beds for five people, but hey ! It's family !)
